Simon Says Week 4-Sunday Worship Service 10:30 CDT
This message confronts us with one of the most penetrating questions we could ever face: In light of eternity, what kind of people should we be? Drawing from 2 Peter 3 and the vivid imagery of Revelation 21-22, we're invited to glimpse the coming day when God will make all things new—when there will be no more tears, pain, death, or sorrow. The sermon challenges us to examine whether we're walking in newness or wallowing in old patterns, whether we're choosing purity over passions, grace over anger, and kindness over retaliation. Most convicting is the question: Who is in heaven or headed there on account of us? We're reminded that if we're still breathing, we're still building God's kingdom. This message calls us to count God's patience as salvation for those around us—family members, neighbors, coworkers—and to live with such eternal perspective that our present troubles fade in comparison to the glory that awaits.
